Here at Burke, we are about more than just engineering. We believe in building strong relationships not only with our clients, our communities, and each other.
Burke offers a collaborative working environment through a variety of multi-disciplinary projects posing different challenges.
Meaningful, Collaborative Work
Whether it be a walking meeting to get the creative juices flowing or a gathering of engineers and planners poring over plans, our employees work together and welcome different perspectives to be able to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.
Community Engagement
Our enthusiasm for relationship building naturally extends into our daily lives. Burke employees spend hundreds of hours every year giving back to their communities by learning, teaching and volunteering.
Employees are encouraged to support their passions and are supported through time off to dedicate to helping make the world a better place.
Emphasis on Education
Education and growth are important in our industry. With regular training seminars, lunch and learns, site visit, and online resources to help staff earn professional development hours, Burke employees can stay at the forefront of their fields. Burke also offers a tuition reimbursement program to help employees work towards their degree, be it undergrad, graduate or beyond.
Workplace Wellness
Burke is committed to supporting and improving the health and well-being of our employees.
Our Bike to Work program is one of the best in the engineering world, with riders logging thousands of miles every year, rain or shine.
Our staff also created the annual Canoe to Work Day, an event, possibly the first of its kind, that encourages employees to get a little exercise and fresh air in a different way while commuting to work.
We also provide a voluntary wellness program designed to provide tools and resources to help improve employees’ general health and promote camaraderie in the office. Through friendly pedometer competitions and registrations for fitness events, Burke staffers can make their well-being a priority.
