Wind Farm Wetland Delineations
Benton County, IN
Burke environmental specialists completed delineations for a proposed 28,000-acre wind farm spanning segments of Newton and Benton counties in northwestern Indiana.
Our staff delineated jurisdictional streams and wetlands, and isolated wetlands. They also completed an extensive report detailing each wetland and stream found on site, as well as a professional opinion on the classification and jurisdiction over these environmental resources.
After completing the report, Burke staff performed these same services for subsequent phases of the wind farm, which also included a 13-mile transmission corridor. In all, the project totaled more than 100,000 acres.
