As CBBEL’s principal engineer, Siavash provides high-level technical advice and guidance on major work plans and benchmark QA/QC review of key projects, both to CBBEL department directors and project managers and also to our clients. He offers more than 35 years of professional experience in water resources planning and management, hydrology and hydraulics, and project management. His responsibilities include general office oversight, and management and coordination of complex water resources projects including federal, state, and local master planning, flood control, flood mitigation, stormwater and drainage projects, and dam and levee safety projects. Siavash has received multiple service and leadership awards from INAFSM, IWRA, and AICD. He also leads the CBBEL office efforts in the development of stormwater utilities and stormwater ordinance and technical standards. He has been the principal editor, author or coauthor of a number of technical guidebooks, including the Indiana Drainage Handbook, Indiana Dam Safety Inspection Manual, and hydrologic/hydraulics modeling guidelines. He is active in many national and state professional organizations and is a national ASCE instructor of the US Army Corps of Engineers’ HEC-HMS computer program.
